Go Baby Doula
Serving the community.
What is a doula?
So, what is a doula exactly? Birth doulas offer the non-medical mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional support you need leading up to and during your labor. We utilize creative techniques—like positioning, movement, comforting touch, breathing, and so much more—to reduce discomfort and ease anxiety during your birth experience.
Postpartum doulas are said to "mother the mother." We provide the comfort and care for you, so you can heal and bond with your baby. We are someone to talk through all the baby questions with when Google isn't cutting it. Let us take care of you, so you can take care of your newborn.
We know having a baby can feel intimidating and overwhelming--for new and experienced parents alike. Let us help you prepare for your birth so you feel ready and confident in your labor, and after baby comes we'll be there with you through postpartum. Go Baby Doula serves you.
Birth is a miraculous event by design that is organic and progresses in perfect order from beginning to end.
Labor and birth are unique to the individual, and should be treated that way.
We believe in empowering you to uncover and discover your maternal instincts within.
Postpartum Support is vital to a healthy recovery. When you are well cared for, your baby - and the whole home - will see the benefits.
Meet the Go Baby Doula
Leslie and Annie are birth doulas committed serving the women and families of southeast Michigan (or wherever they are needed). They began their doula journey in 2019, but have had a lifetime of love for babies and mommas alike for as long as either of them can remember.
In addition to her work with laboring women, Leslie is a certified postpartum doula (CPD) and certified newborn care specialist (NCS) who believes a good family foundation begins at birth for a lifetime of joy and satisfaction. She has experience with waterbirths and high risk pregnancy. She has spent decades learning about child and baby brain development, and loves working with families to share her knowledge and expertise. Leslie is the baby manual you wish the hospital sent you home with.
Annie is a certified labor doula (CLD), who has training and experience as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist. She loves attending births and working with her clients to prepare for their unique experience. She has served at a variety of births, ranging from unmedicated water births to medical inductions to cesareans. She believe support is key for the birthing persons and partners alike.
Together, Leslie and Annie serve as doulas and educators at The Luke Project 52 Clinic in Flint, Michigan. The Luke 52 Clinic offers free prenatal and postnatal care for moms and babies. For more information on how you can receive free care through the clinic, visit their website at https://www.newlukeprenatal.org
